FLIP YOUR PROFILE
The Problem:
Flip Video wanted to break out of its niche and become part of everyday digital culture. But in a crowded tech market, simply showcasing product features wasn’t enough—we needed to demonstrate relevance in a way that felt natural, shareable, and embedded in users’ lives.
The Insight:
The most valuable and visible piece of digital real estate? The Facebook profile picture. It’s personal, it’s public, and it’s the first thing people notice. While users were used to static photos, we saw an opportunity to bring profiles—and Flip Video—to life.
The Solution:
We created “Flip Your Profile”—a bold, first-of-its-kind Facebook app that allowed users to replace their static profile picture with a looping video. Powered by Flip Video, these mini-profile films added personality, sound, and movement where it had never existed before.
Each video ended with a subtle brand signature: “Powered by Flip Video.” Not only did we put Flip Video in the hands of users—we made it part of their identity, turning every profile into a personal endorsement.
It was the day Facebook came alive. And Flip Video made history.
